When spring blooms, there’s a newness and freshness that comes with it. Spring is like waking up to a new day and a clean slate.
One day you go to bed with the chill of winter and wake up with green trees and blooming flowers. It reminds me of the clean slate that I’m provided each day. The new and fresh start that each day brings, just like the new season of spring brings.
When I see the tulips blooming on campus, I’m reminded of how perfect the timing of spring is. Just as I’m ready to tap out of life, spring comes and gives me a breath of fresh air that keeps me going until the freedom of summer.
Every time when spring comes around, I am reminded of the growth that happens every year. I see growth around me and am reminded of the growth within me. Spring is always a good marking ground to remember, “where was I this time last year?” Spiritually, emotionally, physically. It’s always good to see where we’ve come and where we’re going.
So as we keep swinging into spring, ask yourself how you’ve grown. Remember to wake up with the newness that spring offers us. Enjoy the beauty that spring provides. Maybe even get lost in nature.
