This past month, we've really been trying to embrace the concept of 'home.' We've brainstormed for journal ideas, taken photos, written up some drafts, but before we can share all these things with our readers, I think that its really important to know specifically what a home is. Today, a few members of the Oakmoss Collective team share about our topic, Home.
What does home mean to you?
"Home is wherever the people I love dwell. I have many different “homes” depending on where they might be. To me home has never been just one place, it travels and grows following those who I call my people." -Jordan Harper
"I firmly believe that home is a feeling. My heart feels home by the ocean, with my boyfriend, and with my family. I have now moved three times this last year and somehow in every new house or location I find complete happiness in the people I am surrounded by and the adventures my "home" takes me on." -Laynee Nadal
What does your dream home look like?
"My dream home looks like a place of comfort and love. Whatever the appearance ends up being I want you to be surrounded by love and fuzzy blankets. Breathing in clean air made by my thousands of plants with the door wide open for you whenever you want." -Jordan Harper
"My dream home definitely has a pretty kitchen. A farmhouse sink, marble or granite countertops, and open shelving. Lots of space in the yard for a garden and enough room to have friends over for gatherings. I also love exposed brick and vintage jars!" -Natalie Jean
What about you? What does your dream home look like? Do you prefer a place in the city or in the country? An apartment or a nice big house, maybe a duplex?
And for those reaching deeper than the building you live in; what does home mean to you?
