We are so excited to share this DIY with you just in time for the holidays! You can not only save some money on wrapping paper and make it exactly how you want, but you can also add your own personal touch too!
Here is what you'll need:
a roll of craft paper (white or brown)
paint (we used white and black acrylic)
a small tip paint brush
1 medium-large potato
First, cut your potato in hand and dry off the half you'll be using for your stamp. Draw your design on the potato with a marker. We chose a tree.
Using the paring knife, carve around the design. You want your design to be "3D" in a sense. (This part should be done by an adult, if working with kids.) Next, unroll your paper.
Using the paintbrush, add paint to the design and stamp slowly and firmly with your stamp. Add designs in one color or two, all over the paper or in a pattern. Let dry.
Cut your paper after it is dry to fit around your present. Add ribbons, bells, and fun gift tags and your present is complete! In need of some gift ideas? Check out our 2017 Christmas gift guide!
